Story book

I will create a book as well as the computer. Read the story and play the game. I am just starting the story now. Any ideas, please comment! This will be for something else. A little suprise...

I will post the first chapter later on in the week.

So how do we do it?

Some of you have been asking how do you build a virtual world? Well here is how we do it!

Yes! You can create a virtual world. If you have basic computer skills you can create and develop your own online virtual environment. It is easy and there are programs to guide you through the entire creative process.
Virtual WorldMany people are interested in creating an online space but never get started because they fear the process will be too difficult. This could not be further from the truth. With so many online programs available to guide you in creating a virtual world the creative process does not involve high-tech knowledge and can be completed without an advanced degree in computer science.

PLAN IT

To make up a virtual world you will want to have a plan. You must decide whether your virtual world will be based in reality or fantasy. Will your virtual world be a public or private space? What will you do to make your world unique?

These and other questions will have to be answered as you create your virtual world. Take the time to do some research. Surf the web and visit virtual worlds other users have created. You will find plenty of examples out there and can learn what you like, what works, and what is just plain silly.

CREATE IT

After you have a basic plan you can begin to create your virtual world. You do not have to re-invent the wheel to design a unique space. Online programs, such as the popular Second Life, guide users through the creative process. These online programs provide basic templates you can use to customize your own environment.
Your virtual world will be created as you add, delete, and manipulate objects in your virtual environment. If you are building a room you can add furniture and decorate the room to represent your own personal style. If you are developing an island you can add trees and wildlife.
You can find news and information about developers, programmers and visionaries building virtual world platforms and applications in the virtual world SIG .

AND THEY WILL COME

After you create a virtual world you will want to populate the environment. Most users build virtual worlds in order to have a space to interact with others. You can create your own avatar to represent you in the world of virtual reality and invite your friends, (represented by their avatars), to visit your space.

Online programs, such as Second Life, allow for real time communication with other virtual world residents. In the virtual world you have created you can chat with others, have a job, have a pet, and create an entire “second life” for yourself where you can freely communicate with others.
It is important to remember that it will take time to create a virtual world. The old saying, “Rome was not built in a day,” aptly reflects the creative processes and time frame necessary in creating your online space. Do not rush yourself or set an impossible deadline. By taking time to create a virtual world you will enjoy the time you spend there.

So thats how we do it. and they will come is you! You will be on thsi site!

I was suggesting a virtual world chat where you chat and maybe a game. This is where your ideas come in. What would you like it to be?

You are now in control. Tell me in the comments what you think the next game should be about.

Here are some pics to the BIG GAME PROJECT!
Top pic/pic 1: This is the bit where you meet the boss of the Secret Agent Service! You can talk to him there. When you log in, it will be a virtual world room. Click on the door to visit the boss. This is the starting bit. where you get recuited but you will have to do a training mission first.
Bottom Pic/ pic 2: A draft on where you type in your username/ designing exporer or bobot!
These are just drafts that I did today.

I have decided to create this big game. I have the story board but I havn't decided on the title! It will be a game where people can type in there characters name and then choose the design and stuff of there robot/explorer. Then you entre a room. You will recive a mission and then you have to do it. You can explore the land and stuff like that. I will not tell you what the mission is going to be about yet but I will give you pics and sneek peaks along the way!

I can now confirm that one of the games will be called dancing you! What do you think? It is basicilly, someone switching on the tv and then you see the TV saying Dancing you! Then it starts. I shall say no more! You may even do multiplayer but I am not quite sure!

Instructions

Video game design is a large project that takes a lot of time, money and labor. Whether an independent game is being developed or a large studio-produced effort, there are plenty of skill sets required for game design and a large number of people involved. From start to finish, game design is an involved process.
Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
Things You'll Need:
Producers Designers Artists Programmers Level designers Sound Engineers Voice actors Testers, beta and otherwise Appropriate budget
1
Game development is a multi-part process that takes lots of time. First, a general game design is hatched, either by a single developer (in the case of an independent game) or more often by an established studio made up of multiple developers. Once this general idea is hatched, design documents are created and when there are large studios involved, a pitch is made to the managing body of the developer's studio. If the idea is approved, pre-production officially begins.
2
During pre-production, the approved design documents are taken to a publisher if the publisher is separate from the developer. (For instance, Electronic Arts, that makes games like Madden football, acts as both a developer and publisher.) Rough art sketches and early game demos are created and given to the publisher. If all goes well and the pitch is successful, the publisher funds the game title, and game creation starts.
3
Production ramps up once all of the staff are in place. This includes the sound team, sprite and polygon artists (2D and 3D artists), source code programmers and testers. Testing of the game begins and increases until the game is deemed "gold", or ready to ship. Production is the longest stage. The game world is created first, then levels are added.
4
Games are complex, and it can take months or years for games to be ready to be shipped for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, or other gaming systems. Lots of overtime is needed in the final stages. Eventually, main production begins to wrap up and testing goes into full swing.
5
Once production ends, the game is fully tested and all known bugs are eliminated (sometimes by young game players who sign up to test the game as a beta, or prototype, version), the game "goes gold" and is shipped to stores. Development time ranges from months to years depending on whether the game is an independent production, is in 2D, or is a full-fledged studio release that incorporates 3D polygons and other advanced effects.

Ok. That could be a problem! It doesn,t matter. I am only practicing. Now, I will do another post just telling you about the games that I have in my head.

This is going to be a mini project for me. I need to create a site that will host games. It will be challenging but I will eventully do it. First I am going to jot some ideas of games. But the thing is, I also want YOUR IDEAS FOR A NEW GAME. I am not quite sure how long just one game will take to make. I will get the info to you soon. I will also send you pictures and stuff.
